Samsung's SGH-D700 Symbian Smartphone
Snapshot by Randy Tan JH on Tuesday April 08, 2003.

Samsung SGH-D700We first saw Samsung's first Symbian OS smartphone during our visit to CeBIT 2003. Known as the SGH-D700, we provide you
now with a few more details on what this phone has to offer.
Running on Nokia's Series 60 Platform, the SGH-D700 takes on the features present in Nokia's 3650 and 7650 smartphones. The clamshell SGH-D700 supports GSM triband, sports a rotating 65,000 color TFT display, and a camcorder application to make use of its integrated VGA resolution digital camera. Like Nokia's 3650, the SGH-D700 allows users to exchange video clips through MMS or email and it will also be able to play back streaming audio and video through its pre-installed RealOne player. The SGH-D700 takes care of high-memory usage by including an MMC card expansion slot in addition to its 4MB internal memory space. The SGH-D700's compact size and low weight makes it the smallest Series 60 phone launched so far.
The Samsung SGH-D700 is expected to be available in European markets 3rd Quarter 2003.
